Voice Overview
reSIDue provides 3 independent SID voices, each with complete control over:
- MIDI channel filtering
- Individual wavetable assignments
- Independent register programming
MIDI Channel Assignment
Each voice has a dropdown menu with these options:
- “None”: Voice disabled, receives no MIDI input
- “Any”: Voice receives MIDI from all channels (default for Voice 1)
- “1” through “16”: Voice receives MIDI only from specific channel
Default Configuration:
- Voice 1: “Any” (enabled, responds to all MIDI)
- Voice 2: “None” (disabled)
- Voice 3: “None” (disabled)
Voice Programming Examples
Monophonic Lead (Single Voice):
- Voice 1: “Any”
- Voice 2: “None”
- Voice 3: “None”
Three-Part Harmony (Multi-Channel):
- Voice 1: “1” (bass line on channel 1)
- Voice 2: “2” (harmony on channel 2)
- Voice 3: “3” (melody on channel 3)
Unison/Detune Effect:
- Voice 1: “Any”
- Voice 2: “Any” (with different wavetables)
- Voice 3: “Any” (with different wavetables)
