Voice Overview

reSIDue provides 3 independent SID voices, each with complete control over:

  • MIDI channel filtering
  • Individual wavetable assignments
  • Independent register programming

MIDI Channel Assignment

Each voice has a dropdown menu with these options:

  • “None”: Voice disabled, receives no MIDI input
  • “Any”: Voice receives MIDI from all channels (default for Voice 1)
  • “1” through “16”: Voice receives MIDI only from specific channel

Default Configuration:

  • Voice 1: “Any” (enabled, responds to all MIDI)
  • Voice 2: “None” (disabled)
  • Voice 3: “None” (disabled)

Voice Programming Examples

Monophonic Lead (Single Voice):

  • Voice 1: “Any”
  • Voice 2: “None”
  • Voice 3: “None”

Three-Part Harmony (Multi-Channel):

  • Voice 1: “1” (bass line on channel 1)
  • Voice 2: “2” (harmony on channel 2)
  • Voice 3: “3” (melody on channel 3)

Unison/Detune Effect:

  • Voice 1: “Any”
  • Voice 2: “Any” (with different wavetables)
  • Voice 3: “Any” (with different wavetables)
